Some of you people out there viewing our website might want to act on shark cruelty and awareness, so we've created a web page for all of you to do something good for the sharks.
Below, we've compiled a list of 9 simple things you can do for this creature that needs our help. Maybe, you could be the one to help the sharks!
Many people don't know much about sharks which is, in fact, one of the first things many people do if they want to help save the sharks.
Shark products range from shark meat to beauty products, and by avoiding them, you will cause various companies to stop hunting them for that specific product.
Eating too much seafood can have a bad impact on sharks and other creatures, because by eating too much marine life you are also eating a shark's food source. Just by not eating that one little piece of seafood, you are helping sharks (and other animals) in a small way.
Pollution is also a major threat to shark-kind. Sharks often mistake rubbish as their prey, and this almost always leads to their death. A shark's prey might also have eaten pieces of plastic and other garbage, which may also lead a shark to its peril.
There are various organisations around the world which work tirelessly to save the sharks. You can donate to most of those organisations which include:
The Australian Marine Conservation Society-www.marineconservation.org.au
Support Our Sharks-www.supportoursharks.com
Save Our Sharks-www.saveoursharks.com.au
This is one of the many messages our team is trying to expand. In today's world, one voice can make a difference. This is truly the only way other people can get the message. Three words are all it takes- Help-The-Sharks.
Not many people realise this but the money that is raised from shark tourism goes towards shark organizations or shark research centres.
Witness anyone harming or abusing a shark? Report it to authorities and tell them what exactly is the person/people doing to the shark, whether they are poking it or killing it. The authorities should deal with it accordingly.
Be heard. Make your voice count. Don't let other people believe in the ridiculous myths about sharks. Talk to other people about why sharks should be saved. Remember, one voice can make a difference.
